Job Description

Prescient Edge is seeking a Journeyman- Applications Programmer to support a Federal Government client.

Job Requirements

Desired experiences:

Has at least 3 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description.
Create software applications, test and evaluate applications, and tweak and improve applications to make them user-friendly.
Assist in the definition, development, testing, analysis, and maintenance of new or existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.
This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.
Other tasks may include interacting with customers to find out their requirements, preparing software and training manuals, and training users.
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Desired education:

BS/BA degree in technical or scientific discipline.

Security Clearance:

Security clearance required TOP SECRET.
